Two groups represented the Land O'Lakes District in fine fashion at the Buckeye Invitational, held August 19-22nd in Columbus, Ohio.

The first, Nouveau, from the St. Paul and Hilltop chapters, took 4th place overall in the Quartet Competition, and 3rd in the Men's Quartet competition and Entertainment competition.

The second, in the chapter's first ever Buckeye Invitational appearance and with a brand new contest set in tow, the Northern Gateway Chorus from Stevens Point, WI, won gold in the Small Chorus competition, besting choruses from the likes of the Pioneer and Rocky Mountain districts.

The Buckeye Invitational, in its 16th year, features competitions between men's and women's choruses and quartets from around the country and the world, along with featured performances by some of the world's finest barbershop singers.

Held at the historic Palace Theatre in downtown Columbus, this year's Invitational featured special performances by the Gas House Gang, Power Play, Bluegrass Student Union, and Max Q, as well as SAI Silver Medalist chorus, The Pride of Baltimore, and the Singing Buckeyes High School Harmony Camp singers, comprised of young men and women from around the country.
