Former students want the Chi-Hi band to march on as strong as ever.
That's why they're starting an endowment fund in Doug Greenhalgh's
memory. He was the band director at Chi-Hi for more than 20 years.
He was one of five people killed in a crash on Sunday. "I cannot say enough how great it was to have a teacher who could teach hard work, dedication, loyalty and music," says Megan MacLaughlin-Barck from Chippewa Falls. Alumni want the money from the endowment fund to support the band. A committee is being organized to decide how the money will be spent each year, whether it's on equipment, uniforms or something else. If you'd like to donate, you can send a check to:
