"Support Our Troops" rally

On Saturday, April 12, 2003, hundreds of people of the Chippewa Valley got together at North High School in Eau Claire, Wisconsin for a "Support Our Troops" rally. The event, which went from noon until about 2:00 p.m., was organized by Mark Halvorsen of WWIB radio (103.7FM), and presented by that station and the Hallie Peace Memorial Park.

Mark emceed the program, which featured solos and group singing, speeches by area political figures and military representatives, and prayers by several different pastors. One of the highlights of the afternoon was getting to meet the Wall and Knoll families, the parents of two different men, both from Chippewa Falls, who were involved in the rescue of P.O.W. Jessica Lynch from the Iraqi hospital.

I took all these photos with my Olympus c2100uz camera. You may use any photo if you want, but I'd appreciate knowing if you use them, just for my own curiousity. (If you order color prints from someplace like walmart.com, be sure to click on the medium-sized picture to get a huge 1600x1200 picture, to get a decent-quality print.)
