On Wednesday, August 18, 2004, President George W. Bush came right here
to our small town of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin (pop. 12,925). We got
there with our five kids about 8:40 a.m., two and a half hours before
he was to speak, and there were already hundreds of people in line.
I took a couple hundred photos for your viewing pleasure, using my Olympus c2100uz digital camera. I tried to get a nice shot of everyone I knew, in addition to some random faces. I also tried to capture the atmosphere with close-ups of secret service guys, special lighting, etc. I got some REAL closeups of the prez, as he headed our way when his speech was done -- he was only about ten feet from where we were standing! Look through the photos below, and click on one to get a medium-sized version. If you want to make a print, be sure to click again to get a large one (1600x1200). Enjoy, - Tom Arneberg (toma@arneberg.com)
