On Wednesday, May 24, 2006,
Chippewa Falls Middle School
held an awards ceremony to honor the recipients of the
President's Award for Academic Excellence.
In addition to the academic awards, "character" awards were presented to "volunteers of the year." They went to Samantha Phephles and Andrew Wood -- only two out of a student body of some 350. (This was exciting for me, since they both go to my church and I've known them all their lives!) I took a few photos with my FZ30 digital camera that I thought I'd share with others. (If you see the son or daughter of parents you know, tell them where to find the photo!) (I mostly only took photos of the kids I knew, but in retrospect maybe I should've gotten a shot of each one.)
