Subject: 2008 Spirit of Christmas Racquetball Tournament RESULTS

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

We had a great turnout for Saturday's "Spirit of Christmas" racquetball
tournament.  We raised $400.00 toward the "Spirit of Christmas".  This
money will be used to provide toys, clothes, etc. for disadvantaged
children/families throughout the Chippewa County.  This is a
considerable improvement on the $220 we raised last year.

The results are as follows and the brackets can be found on the link
below.  Remember to send in your scores to Tom if you want credit for
them on the ladder.

Division A:

  - 1st Place:  Mike "no glasses" Barstad, visiting from EC took
    the "A" division with a pretty good whooping of Rich Meredith in
    the finals.  Why Mike chose the Leiny's Tray over the liter of
    Jack Daniels for his 1st place prize nobody knows...  He said he
    didn't see the whiskey...maybe "glasses" are required...

- 2nd Place:  Rich "grey beard" Meredith, also a visitor to the
    CF YMCA took second.  He says he hasn't been playing much but it
    didn't show on Saturday.

- Consolation Winner:  James Kirchen played his way back to win the
    consolation bracket beating Russ Bowe in the consolation finals
    in a close one.  Russ was overheard after the match saying that
    he was finally sobering up after the party the night before.

Division B:

  - 1st Place:  Dave Flood arrived late and I think bought
    everyone beer at the Fill-in as sort of a penalty...  Even so, he
    brought game and took his division.

  - 2nd Place:  Scott Eisold

  - Consolation Winner:  Mike Parrott

Division C:

  - 1st Place:  Pat Couture took the trophy in C beating the
    quick footed Brian Flood, brother of Dave (but much nicer).

  - 2nd Place:  Brian Flood (who did show up on time)

  - Consolation Winner:  Don Kelly came all the way back through
    the consolation bracket to beat Pat Hibbard in the consolation 
    finals.  Way to go, Don!
