My name is Jerry Kirsling and beginning this year, I will be the new LOL COTS Coordinator.  It will be difficult to fill the shoes of Tyler Smith, my predecessor, who coordinated this operation so successfully and efficiently in the past. 

My association with SPEBSQSA is relatively short by comparison with many of you.  I became a member in 1992 with the Dunn County Chapter and am currently a member of the St. Croix Valley Chapter.  In the last two years I have had the good fortune to sing with a new quartet "Spirit of Harmony" which won the Novice championship at the Division contest in 1999.

I have been a resident of Menomonie, WI for a little over thirty years with my wife, Ann.  We have three fine sons who grew up all too fast.  After twenty-five years as a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin - Stout, I am now retired.  My wife, Ann, has been supportive and encouraging of my involvement in this hobby even though there are times she doesn't see me for more than a couple of days each week.  As a Radiological Technologist at the local hospital, her work can often consume large portions of her time as well. 

Involvement with chorus and quartet singing has afforded some wonderful experiences especially meeting so many of you out there who have been so dedicated and involved in this hobby.  That energy and enthusiasm is contagious and a good  place to catch it is at COTS.  Come and catch the spirit!
